Collages

The majority of the images that Quentin select are cut from the pages of Sotheby’s, Christie’s Interiors, and Bonhams that Paula Gibson and her late husband Henry have gifted me through our many years of friendship.

Inspiration for the themes of her collages focus on TIME, longing, dreams, hope, exquisite jewels, antiques, images of horses, cherubs, fashionistas, lips, architecture, sculpture, paintings, furniture… and phrases that she associates with the art of collage making: design, balance, composition, color, intuition, control, patience, meditation, preciseness, impact, humor, erotica, focus, control, exactness, narration, secrets, bold choices, perception, insightfulness, contemplation, thought-provoking, meticulous, like flower arranging, related to my love of wallpaper, puzzle making, FUN, “happy accidents,” decisions, delicate, gentle, obsessive all meticulously arranged in concert.
