Dear Community,

I am an internationally recognized fine artist with over a 30 year history with the Vero
Beach Museum of Art. Our relationship included Intimate Encounters, a solo exhibit in
2004; the purchasing and distribution of my coloring book, Color the Burg; creating a
wall hanging for an event featuring Beverly Sills, the late opera diva; attended galas;
donated a watercolor to D’Art for Art; volunteered to help with mailings; etc.

On Friday evening, February 20 th, 2026, I was invited to join a donor who held my ticket
to Asbury Shorts. Upon entering the VBMA a familiar guard approached me and told
me that I had been banned by facial recognition and would need to work it out with
Brady (Brady Roberts is the Executive Director/CEO of VBMA). I had thought that the guard was joking, and when he asked if I needed medical attention, my response was,
that I was shocked and in a state of disbelief.

Letters to the Board and Museum Staff, as well as to the VBMA’s counsel, were
ignored. I had received two certified letters from Suzanne Seldes, Deputy Director,
stating that “it is in the Museum’s best interest to conclude your access to the premises,” and that I was no longer to reach out to board members or museum staff.

As a legacy member of the VBMA my professional image and network have been
denigrated.

The most upsetting thing was the guillotine-like tactic used to have my membership
terminated, totally unethical and uncharacteristic when promoting the arts. There was
no warning by phone, written letter, and or E-mail as to the reason why I was banned. I
was verbally, falsely accused of inappropriate behavior at the Museum openings, most
recently on Friday, February 6 th , 2026. I was walking arm-in-arm with an elderly friend
previewing the exhibit and later exchanged business cards with Jonathan Stuhlman,
PhD, after his lecture, and he shared in an E-mail to me that he was sorry that I was
banned, but that he can not “shed any further light on the matter.”

I am reaching out to our community and beyond for their support in reinstating my
VBMA membership, because of Mr. Robert’s unconscionable and egregious action of
banning me from the VBMA. This has also given me emotional stress considering my
love and passion for my art community.

Thank you for your support.

Sincerely,

Ms. Quentin Walter
